Team Profile:
Institutional Securities Technology team of Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced Java developer with sound knowledge of Spring and SpringBoot, Restful API, Unix & Shell for its Data Quality(DQ) and Client Data Confidentiality platform core team.
Position Description:
The candidate will be working on design and development of our next generation, state of the art Data Quality & Client Data Confidentiality platform. This platform captures DQ Exceptions generated by diverse upstream applications in different formats in most optimal way, and then downstream applications should be able to extract these violations through RESTful services efficiently. The Candidate will be part of the Java/Scala core development team, engaged in design, implementation, and maintenance of wide range of tools comprising the DQ platform. They will also work closely with BI reporting area to generate various dashboards and other core team members for DQ rule design and execution. The DQ platform is currently used across many systems across the breadth of Morgan Stanley in Institutional Securities, Firm Risk, Finance, Compliance and Operations Technology.
Skills Required:
• 3+ years of experience in Java
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Sound knowledge of Spring and SpringBoot
• Exposure to Restful APIs
• Understanding of Database concepts and SQLs
• Unix and Shell Scripting
• Exposure to Git and Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
Good to have :
• Spark SQL
• Exposure to Agile methodology
• Finance domain knowledge
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work on multiple projects
