About The Role
Moonshot Brands is seeking a high-performing Machine Learning Engineer to support both our internal and portfolio company operations. In this role you will work to uncover patterns and generate insights by building and deploying predictive machine learning models that assist with our sourcing and optimization of portfolio company sales, marketing and operations. The candidate will have exposure across all of Moonshot’s portfolio companies and create broad top-down strategies as well as brand specific solutions based on analytical rigor. The Data Scientist will also provide perspective on Moonshot’s collection of data that will be analyzed to inform future business decisions. This role requires a high level of autonomy.
As Machine Learning Engineer, you will:
- Solution architecture and design for services that use machine learning and AI algorithms to predict and optimize e-commerce outcomes
- Development of tools to facilitate data science and AI model research and testing
- Work with business owners to gather requirements, and propose solutions
- Build data pipeline to integrate data sources in various formats, warehouse them for downstream applications
- Additional responsibilities as requested
- 6+ years of experience working as a professional software developer, at least 2 years of which includes experience in data science or AI solution development
- Experience with system design
- Strong Python with experience using some subset of the Python ML ecosystem (numpy/scipy/pandas, Tensorflow/PyTorch, etc.)
- Strong SQL
- Experience choosing and writing machine-learning models for deployment at scale.
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment focusing on continuous learning; participating in code review and pair programming
- Experience in financial modelling, or advertising is a plus
- Experience deploying containerized machine learning services
- Experience designing workflow automation
- Experience with data integration from external data sources
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
