About the role:

The Platform Engineering team is pivotal to the success of Moneyfarm. We add value by owning our cloud environment and providing tools to the product engineering teams. The team operates autonomously, defining its roadmap to serve overall company and technology goals. We strive to build secure, scalable, and efficient platforms while enabling our engineering teams to deliver with confidence.

As a Software Engineer I in the Platform Engineering team, you will contribute to building and maintaining our platform, focusing on continuous delivery systems, observability, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you will gain exposure to a variety of tools and technologies, and actively support production operations. You will work closely with your team and other engineering groups to deliver impactful features while learning and adopting the best practices in platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient and reliable deployment of applications.
• Support observability systems, ensuring robust monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our Kubernetes-based environments.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to address infrastructure needs for their projects.
• Participate in team processes, delivering consistent and high-quality work aligned with team goals.

• At least 1 year of commercial experience in a software engineering or SRE role.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP and cloud-native services.
• Basic knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Github Actions, or similar.
• An understanding of observability concepts (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Strong learning mindset with the ability to quickly adopt new tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Scala or Typescript.
• Familiarity with service meshes and distributed systems.
• Exposure to networking concepts and Linux server administration.
