Senior Mobile Software Verification Engineer

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead role in developing a smartphone application software Verification & Validation (V&V) test strategy to include automated test development in-house and by subcontract. Strength in smartphone application test tools such as XCUITest and/or Espresso is essential.
• Develop, create, track, and complete regulated documentation for the software V&V process such as change orders, test plans, test protocols, test reports, and relevant attachments.
• Responsible for testing software products and identifying any defects or issues that need to be addressed. This may involve developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, as well as performing manual and automated tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software developers, hardware developers, project managers, and quality assurance to ensure that software products are developed and delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
• Support post market activities related to product software anomalies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline

Experience:

• 5+ years of work experience in (software) test engineering or related role.
• Specific experience in automated test of smartphone application on the iPhone and/or Android-based platforms.
• Experience in the software design and development process to include verification, validation, testing and software maintenance activities (failure investigations/bug fixes).
• Ability to deliver quality outputs under minimal supervision. 

Skills (Required):

• Proven participation and leadership with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the embedded system development process and related tools.
• Experience in smartphone application testing including development of automated tests. 
• Jira, Git & Bitbucket, Microsoft Office Suite
• XCUITest, Espresso or other smartphone user interface automated test tool

Skills (Preferred):

• Knowledge of testing and documentation of medical products.
• Experience with third party test labs for V&V of smartphone applications.
• Experience with common electronics laboratory test equipment.

Physical: 

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to infrequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $115,150-$165,550 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on several factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for our employees and their dependents, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a generous PTO policy, and new hire stock options.
