The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of web services and applications. This role is a good fit for someone who is proactive, technically strong, and enjoys working in a collaborative, agile environment.
What You’ll Do
Develop, maintain, and optimize SOAP and REST web services and APIs used by large numbers of users
Work with Java, SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle), XML/JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols
Implement security and performance improvements for public-facing services
Develop solutions using JavaEE and/or Spring frameworks
Integrate systems using established design and integration patterns
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
What We’re Looking For
Strong knowledge of:
Java
SQL (MySQL, Oracle)
Web Services (SOAP & REST)
XML, JSON
HTTP/HTTPS, including security and performance considerations
Core programming concepts: algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns, integration patterns
Good knowledge of:
JavaEE and/or Spring
JBoss
Linux OS (RedHat/CentOS)
Apache, Redis
Good knowledge of English language
Preferred experience:
Developing high-traffic public or internal web applications and APIs
Using Git, JIRA, Jenkins
Working within Agile teams
