Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer/Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) Expert

Location: Lorton, VA, USA

Work Location: onsite

• Execute and manage tasks related to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure compliance and system security integrity.
• Assess Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) within organizational cybersecurity architectures.
• Conduct thorough system security assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Assess STIGs results for secure configurations and maintain adherence to DoD cybersecurity policies and instructions.
• Manage and maintain Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts throughout the system lifecycle, including review and validation of related documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support for audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission-critical systems meet security requirements.
• Prepare technical Security Assessment reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior management.

• 10+ years' of relevant cybersecurity experience, particularly within DoD environments.
• In-depth understanding and application of RMF and CDS principles.
• Familiarity with DoD Instructions, policies, and guidelines.
• Expertise in performing system security and vulnerability assessments.
• Proficiency in applying STIGs to ensure secure system configurations.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills for reviewing, managing, and maintaining BoE artifacts.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to travel based on project needs.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent preferred.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
