We are seeking a creative, self organizing, and quick-thinking Principal Data Analyst with strong Ad Tech experience to join our Data Organization. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in SQL, big data, and Ad Tech to plan, prototype, organize, execute, and triage products and pipelines across the entire organization. The role will work closely with the Head of Data to tackle various sized initiatives that require consistent, intuitive and scalable solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Data Flow Mastery: Become an expert on MNTN platforms, UIs, databases, data pipelines, and advertising ecosystem to ensure comprehensive, E2E coverage.
- Reporting & Analytics: Conduct regular data analysis and present insightful reports to internal and external stakeholders. Deliver high-quality, repeatable insights and analytics solutions.
- Innovation & Prototyping: Experiment, prototype, and champion new analytics and data solutions that push the boundaries of what’s currently available, driving continuous improvement in the platform.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Eng, Product, and the business to translate problems into solutions, and analysis into actionable product improvements.
- Product Development: Aid in driving various phases of the product development life cycle to bring an idea to life from inception to production and future iterations.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of Expert-level analytics mastery and hands-on experience driving complex, high-impact analytics initiatives across business domains. Recognized as a go-to expert for translating raw data into strategic insights that shape company-wide decisions.
- 3+ years of deep specialization in advertising and marketing technology. Advanced understanding of digital tracking, attribution modeling, programmatic media, and performance optimization in large-scale environments.
- Command of Large-Scale Data Systems: Extensive experience working with massive, high-velocity datasets (1B+ records). Expert-level SQL and data modeling capabilities, with a focus on performance, scalability, and clarity.
- Architect of Data Infrastructure: Proven ability to independently design and maintain robust, production-ready data pipelines and ETL processes. Skilled in defining, owning, and evolving datasets used across the business.
- Analytical Depth & Technical Range: Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, statistical techniques, and BI tools to perform in-depth analyses and validate dashboards with a critical eye for data quality and integrity.
- Strategic Thought Partner: Trusted advisor to cross-functional leaders. Able to frame ambiguous problems, drive alignment on measurement strategy, and influence roadmaps through data storytelling and rigor.
- Autonomous & Impact-Oriented: Operates independently at a high level, identifying opportunities and delivering results without direction. Comfortable leading through influence in a fast-moving, decentralized environment.
- Exceptional Problem-Solving Acumen: Proven experience identifying hidden patterns, surfacing root causes, and crafting elegant, actionable solutions. Brings structure to chaos and clarity to complexity.
