What You’ll Do:

As a Software Engineer II in the Storage team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable storage systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement scalable and reliable services utilising a combination of private and public cloud (AWS) infrastructure.
• Continue to optimise and evolve our existing Storage services.
• Eager to learn new technology including Mimecast specific tools. Be proactive in asking for help for continuous skill development.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, processes, and procedures.
• Provide support during critical incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor and analyze AWS usage, providing recommendations for cost savings without compromising system performance and reliability.
• Craft resilient, secure, and efficient code, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

What You’ll Bring:

• Demonstratable ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Demonstratable expertise in Java development, with a strong command of Java 11 and above.
• Experience in developing, and optimizing backend systems for data processing at scale within AWS.
• Experience with foundational AWS services, such as ALB, ECS, S3, EFS, ElastiCache, IAM, or CloudWatch would be would be beneficial.
• Experience with Junit, Mockito is preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with Jenkins and establishing robust CI/CD pipelines.
