For this role, the responsibilities will focus on overseeing Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and IoT implementations for upcoming data center projects. This position presents an opportunity to engage with a rapidly evolving program with significant growth potential. The ideal candidate will have the chance to lead and innovate within this pioneering program.

 

The role involves End to End management of the EPMS systems in existing/new data centers. The position will be Sr. CE Project Manager for the execution phase of the MS data center construction.

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will be a CE Project Manager with leadership experience in electrical power monitoring systems for Data Centers. A team player able to work in a multi-disciplined engineering team delivering EPMS in Microsoft Data Centers globally and possess the skills to work in a fast-paced multi-project environment.

 Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excel at project management, be able to multitask and be familiar with advanced engineering and energy efficient operational processes/procedures as they relate to large data center environments.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of direct experience as a Project Manager specifically within the data center industry, focusing on Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of power monitoring systems and related infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Experience in subcontractor management and vendor relationship management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Power App).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with SCADA software like Schneider PSO, PME, Eaton Foreseer, Ignition

 

 

Preferred, not required:

 

  • Experience with commissioning and testing of EPMS systems. BAS is a plus
  • Previous experience working with subcontractors and managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent presentation skills for communicating complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Procurement and category teams for financial review and negotiation
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with IoT integration in data center environments.
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP

As the Senior Critical Environment Project Manager, your primary role will entail the comprehensive management and oversight of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, for MS Data Centers under construction. Your key responsibilities will revolve around collaborating with internal design, engineering, procurement, and cross-functional teams to establish and track clear milestones, delivery dates, scope, and budgetary parameters.

 

You will play a pivotal role in liaising with external EPMS vendors, ensuring a thorough understanding of project scope, schedule, and cost to guarantee seamless project execution. This will involve close coordination with the procurement and category teams to facilitate vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor management throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Your duties will include coordinating efforts between internal teams and external vendors, facilitating effective communication, and resolving any potential discrepancies or challenges that may arise during the EPMS delivery process. By maintaining a keen focus on project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints, you will contribute to the successful implementation of EPMS solutions within MS Data Centers, ultimately ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.

 

In addition to managing EPMS delivery and coordinating with internal and external teams, the Senior Critical Environment Project Manager will also be responsible for evaluating project processes, identifying any gaps or inefficiencies, and proposing innovative solutions for continuous improvement. You will be expected to analyze current workflows, identify areas for enhancement, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new project processes and methodologies. Your role will involve fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices to optimize project delivery and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. By actively seeking out opportunities for process improvement and innovation, you will contribute to the overall success and effectiveness of project management operations within the organization.
