Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • Experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Python OR equivalent experience.  
  • Experience growing consumer or enterprise products using product led growth techniques.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Demonstrated coding experience in C++, C#, and React.   

Demonstrated experience in the entire software development life cycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and live site monitoring and support.  

Solid problem-solving skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships, and clear communication and coordination skills

Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.  

Experience developing solutions that are Cloud-enabled (i.e., Azure, AWS, Google).  

Experience collaborating across geo-distributed teams to deliver complete features and end-to-end customer experiences.  

Passion for quality, customer empathy and willingness to learn. 

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

As a Software Engineer II in our Bing Growth Platform team, you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplined team and build products that encourage the use of Bing through enticing new features across all platforms. Collaborating with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Designers, you will play a key role in executing both long-term and tactical investments that will help us to continue to gain market share. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can collaborate well with different disciplines. As a part of this team:  

  • You will deliver highly secure, reliable, and performant platform and application components, end-to-end.  
  • You will work with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Designers, to get the right features defined and then design, code, test, release, monitor, and maintain.   
  • You will optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).  
  • You will use customer feedback to drive improvement and innovation in our products and ensure that customers are succeeding with our software and services.  
  • You will provide technical leadership for some of the projects and create design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.  
  • You will articulate well and keep all stakeholders informed to ensure that the product scales to customer requirements.  
  • You will foster a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.
