Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II, you will help realize the vision to “Build and operate world class E-E engineering Quality systems & services that contribute to measurable improvements in the experience for our customers & ensures quality of Azure platform with zero impact to Azure Customers ”. ​Achieving this vision is critical for the success of the Azure platform and guaranteeing QoS for our customers. The focus for this role is on building the infrastructure to validate Control and Data plane Azure platform services and components, plug and play services in a production like environment and no regressions leak to customers. This is next gen infrastructure that we believe is critical for delivering a quality platform for some of our largest customers.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in building, deploying, and operating reliable services preferably with experience in designing distributed systems, AND debugging with in-depth exposure in developing microservices, AND of proactive engagement in site-reliability engineering practices.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  
  • OR equivalent experience.
    
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines & ADO Experience developing software hosted in Azure, AWS, or other similar Cloud platforms.
  
• Data driven approach to solving problems iteratively and measuring success. Commitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver.

• Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
• Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
