The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox.

Our Experiences Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer II to help us build future shared Xbox experiences across PCs, Consoles, Handhelds, Mobile devices, Smart TVs, and Web browsers. These experiences range from storefronts and content discovery to gaming community and cloud gaming features. In your role you will work alongside a diverse team of Software Engineers, Program Managers, and Designers to create technologies that empower team Xbox to delight gamers no matter where they play.

You will be collaborating on native and managed code bases that form the foundational architecture for identity and social experiences that are shared across all our platforms. Working with other developers on the team, your contributions will build important capabilities that help gamers play and engage with the games they love.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C or C++
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience with design, coding, and debugging
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment

Preferred:

• 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience shipping cross-platform libraries

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
