Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting features and our customers for confidential compute. You will help Azure customers achieve the highest levels of privacy and security by delivering technology and solutions that protect their data in use in addition to best of breed existing means in Azure for protecting data at rest and in transit. This opportunity will allow you to learn areas of cloud infrastructure, operating the cloud at scale and technologies that help secure the cloud. The role provides flexibility allowing you to work from home partially.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications: 

• Familiarity building services on cloud infrastructure and using cloud native technologies such as containers.
• Familiarity with cloud and datacenter security.
• Familiarity with Linux and making contributions to OSS.

• You will work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.
• You will support identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
