Software Engineer – Azure Cognitive Services

In Taiwan, the Microsoft AI R&D Center is working on various projects to foster the application of AI in local industries and address the challenges our customers face. In particular, the Azure Visual Document Intelligence (VDI) team is driving the development of various cognitive services, including optical character recognition (OCR), document understanding, and related fields in document intelligence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of a proven track record for building and shipping production service.
• Strong ability and effectiveness working in a significant technical problem domain, in the term of plan, design, execution, continuous release and service operation. 
• The ability to multi-task while balancing short-term and long-term tasks. Agility in fast paced environment. 
• B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience on one or more of the following domains:
• Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases or similar database platforms.
• ETL/ELT environments with Azure Data Factory, SSIS or similar technologies 
• Azure Core Platform with machine learning, storage, networking, access, certificate, and compliance management
• Strong testing/validation, analytics/telemetry and problem-solving skills
• Deep passion for customer-centric approaches, design thinking, data analysis, and emerging technologies
• Expertise in problem-solving, with the ability to analyze and diagnose service health issues on a global scale.
• Experience in a DevOps culture, particularly for supporting live site.
