Software Engineer

The Mixed Reality Core OS Software team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Software Engineer with experience in camera driver & platform development, Windows/Android/Linux OS frameworks SW design & implementation. We are the team that develop the foundational software that breathes life into our Mixed Reality hardware, enabling our AI, Runtimes, and Experience teams to collectively create delightful and engaging user experiences

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience working with Android or Linux or Windows system level frameworks and internals.
• Experience working with embedded systems.
• Writing performance critical code in C/C++.
• Experience with design, coding, and debugging.

  • Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.  

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software design and development experience.
• Experience with Windows or Linux device SW driver development
• Experience with Hardware bring up and Manufacturing
• Experience with BSP and OS image creation
• Experience using Java, C#, or Kotlin
• Familiarity with CI/Automation frameworks

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
