Senior Software Engineering Manager

Microsoft Whiteboard is a new intelligent canvas for creative teamwork. Whiteboard provides a highly collaborative experience that enables teams to work together on a digital canvas. Whiteboard is a part of Visual Collab org. This org is building the services and experiences for the era of AI. This visual collaboration canvas in Microsoft 365 is designed for flexible work and learning. Whiteboard engineers design and build the technology to power new, large-scale, highly collaborative experiences for Surface Hub, Teams, desktop, mobile, and web. We work in close partnership with the Teams and Surface teams to jointly deliver delightful, end-to-end collaborative inking experiences and accessible meetings to our customers. We also work closely with the OneDrive / SharePoint and Fluid Framework teams to provide compliant storage for our customers. Whiteboard runs on the web and on any mobile and large screen devices.

Whiteboard is a modern codebase built on React, Fluid Framework, Azure and OneDrive services. Native mobile experiences will be built using Kotlin, Swift. Microsoft Teams is currently serving 4B+ meeting minutes per day and a lot of those meetings are using Whiteboard. If you're passionate about building high-scale, high-perf, very low latency, highly collaborative apps, this is the place for you! You will get to work on the latest Modern UI Tech and be involved in the next generation of collaboration products. You will be involved in designing, developing and managing the entire product life cycle.

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer with web and mobile development to help accelerate the depth of features of our offering as it becomes the primary experience for the digital Whiteboard.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
  • OR Python
• 6 + years of software product development experience
