Excel Mobile –Senior  Software Engineer 

Excel on Mobile team is focused on taking the product to flagship quality with solid fundamentals like perf and reliability. We are bringing the best of the rich content models of Excel along with a host of mobile optimized experiences targeting consumption scenarios to phones and tablets. We take pride in focusing on fast paced ideate/create/learn cycle and measurable value growth through the experiences we build. As we embark on our next run of growth, we are looking to hire passionate, purposeful, and gritty engineers who espouse a deep learning and a can-do attitude towards achieving success.  

The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical chops in native (C/C++) language and good experience in Android and iOS development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Proven skill in designing large features or a small product .
• Quick learner with good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills . 
• Strong in analytical problem solving and good fundamentals in CS.  

Other Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in C/C++ and/or Java/ObjC .
