Senior Software Engineer, Windows Core OS Wireless Networking

The Wireless connectivity team provides the technology that enables Windows devices to connect to the Internet, empowering people to accomplish their goals by connecting to each other and the world.

We deliver components that enable Wi-Fi, Cellular and Ethernet connectivity across many device form factors, including all Windows PCs, Xbox consoles and HoloLens. We define and build end to end user experiences. To achieve this, we work with a variety of technologies across several layers, including UI, core Operating System (OS) components, device driver interfaces, industry wireless and wired protocol specifications, and cloud services.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Wireless Core OS Wireless Networking, you will collaborate with internal and external technology leaders to innovate and be an industry leader in providing reliable, performant, seamless and secure wireless connectivity supporting people centered experiences.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++or C#
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Design and Operating Systems

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C or C++, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Wireless networking protocols

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
