The Titan team forms the core stack that powers the Microsoft Cloud and manages datacenter infrastructure for the global Microsoft fleet, including Azure, Xbox, Exchange and more. Titan is a microservices platform that runs the cloud at massive scale. We're on a mission to define the next generation of datacenter and service architecture that allows us to scale to a rapidly growing fleet and new customer scenarios.
We are part of Titan team that manages data plane workflows across millions of machines. We are looking for world-class software developers to help us continue to evolve, expand, and define our software platform and micro-service infrastructure. Some of the many areas we are tackling include improving reliability and availability for our agents and ring-0, ring-1 services to 5-9s, managing and enhancing agent operations on millions of blades, fault-tolerance, distributed service monitoring, agent operational efficiency within the datacenter lifecycle, performance metrics collection/analysis, alerting, visualization, agent operations, and coordination of machine diagnostics and repairs.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience running and working on services at scale AND working on cloud infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience working in microservice architecture and writing design.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Rust
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in working across multiple teams.
- Fluent in C, C++, Rust or other system programming languages.
- Proficient problem-solving skills, drive for results, and ability to work independently.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
