We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of Android development experience, including building and optimizing native applications.
• Strong experience with Android frameworks, SDKs, Kotlin/Java, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
  
• Experience leading technical teams and making critical architecture decisions, particularly related to Android app development.
  
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and geos.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and stay current with industry trends, particularly in mobile and Android development.
• An excellent collaborator, capable of building and maintaining relationships with various teams across Microsoft.
• Strong problem-solving skills, great teamwork, and most importantly, passion for delivering outstanding mobile experiences.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with Agile and iterative development processes.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will bring unique perspectives to both the team and the larger organization. Your responsibilities will accelerate the delivery of innovative features to our users with enhanced speed and stability:

• Lead and mentor junior team members in adhering to best practices and coding standards, ensuring technical excellence across the team.
• Manage complex projects from conception to implementation, driving the development of new features and user interfaces, with a particular focus on optimizing the performance of Android applications.

• Work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling, user-focused products. Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure full-stack alignment.
• Drive team-wide infrastructure/fundamental investments to support long-term technical roadmaps.
• Use runtime analysis and data to identify the root causes of issues, improving our customers’ experiences.
