Senior Software Engineer

In this position, you will experience every aspect of the software development lifecycle for a large-scale commercial product and its accompanying services. Your role will involve overseeing the successful implementation of essential features that drive Microsoft cloud for sustainability suite of products. This team is responsible for a charter that is amongst the most dynamic and exciting across the industry, involving - big data scale, machine learning, AI, LLM and real-time insights. The challenges you will tackle are as tough and groundbreaking as they come.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent
• 5+ years of industry software engineering experience using at least two of the following C#/Java, HTML5/JavaScript/React, SQL, Spark/Python    
• 3+ years of experience in designing and building high-scale cloud services.
• 2+ years of experience in Azure Cloud and related technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Excited to work on the intersection of distributed systems, scale/big data, AI and LLM
• Sound knowledge of distributed systems, micro-services architectures
• Experience with Microsoft Dataverse & Power Platform, or other Dynamics 365 Apps
• Knowledge of stream data processing pipelines, as well as Spark and Python is helpful but not required
• Strong architecture, design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication skills and collaboration capabilities
• Independent, self-driven and self-motivated
• Ability to take initiative, lead in ambiguous situations, and produce results
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a talented, strong team
• Experience in big data processing
