Senior Software Engineer

Application Programming Interfaces are the foundation of our connected, digital world. Azure API Management enables companies building APIs to publish, describe, secure, manage and monitor their APIs so that they can focus on providing the functionality their developers want, while we provide them the infrastructure they need. 
  
We’re looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to work on a rapidly growing service that is highly connected to its customers and grow the product in Serverless, Hybrid and Kubernetes environments. You’ll get a chance to build features that can be immediately deployed and validated, and will contribute to testing, support and diagnosis of live systems. This candidate will lead the critical area in API Management space that can produce high quality solutions independently, but will contribute to and benefit from a collaborative and dynamic team environment. We live in Azure and do our work in C# and SQL. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
