Senior Software Engineer

Azure Arc simplifies governance and management by delivering a consistent multi-cloud and on-premises management platform with a single pane of glass. As a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Arc (Azure core), you will join us in building a world class Kubernetes based Arc platform that will empower customers to manage their resources from Azure across clouds, data centers, and on the edge.

You will enable Azure products like SQL Azure, Web Apps, Azure Stack bring Azure services to on-prem on a platform using Go, Python, Kubernetes, Linux, & other open-source technologies. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on software design and programming experience in Go, Java, C++, C# or object-oriented programming.
  
• 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, monitoring and shipping scalable cloud services.
  
• 2+ years of experience with containers and Kubernetes.

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Go, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices.
  
• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
