The Information & Platform Optimization (IAPO) team leads, builds, and supports programs & platforms used by data center and critical environment personnel globally. To help us accelerate on the path to achieve our objectives, growth, and transformation, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Engineer who has broad expertise & implementation experience across report building and data modeling, focusing on self-service enablement to help us move faster!

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. 
  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. 
  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business analysis
    • OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering and Business Analytics or related field working on large scale complex programs focused on Data Integration & Analytics. 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Query languages (SQL, Kusto, Cosmos, etc.). 
  • Documented experience with creating leadership-level views to drive actionable and strategic decision making.

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.  

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working with unstructured and structured data with a solid understanding of big data solutions.  
  • Ability to communicate advanced analytics and insights to both technical and non-technical audience.  
  • Experience within a data center environment, manufacturing, maritime engineering, energy sector, oil and gas industry, or another type of operations environment is a plus.  
  • Ability to collaborate across the globe with diverse teams and be able to travel as necessary to learn and support operations in US and internationally.  
  • Ability to understand customer needs and be able to tailor the message being presented depending on the audience.  
  • 2+ year of industry work experience in Python or R, building and implementing statistical models and machine learning models and simulations.  
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI.  
  • Integration with Other Tools: Experience in integrating Power BI with other Microsoft products such as ServiceNow, Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database) and Office 365 applications (e.g., SharePoint, Teams). 

 

Data Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

  • The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for data extraction and transformation, report development, data modeling, and performance optimization. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements to deliver high-quality visualizations and reports, focusing on automating systems and processes to develop operating efficiencies and enhance current capabilities 
  • Look for ways to streamline report generation and provide business leaders with resources to enable informed decision making, including self-service tools that enable users to analyze data through many business dimensions with visibility to granular and historical data 
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems. Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
