Principal Software Engineering Manager

Device identities play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining security by enabling scenarios such as Conditional Access and FIDO2 credentials while improving the user experience by enabling secure long term single sign-on experience on any device that they might be using. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager and as leader of this vertical, you will be responsible for delivering next generation of scenarios for our customers by leading a team of strong and dedicated engineers and working with a team of highly knowledgeable product managers and partners.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

• Experience with people management: recruiting, technical leadership and mentorship, personal development, team building, vision, and roadmap creation.   

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 5 or more years of experience building very large-scale distributed services, preferably working on both server side and client side stacks.
• 5 or more years of experience building identity solutions using authentication protocols such as OIDC.
• 3 or more years of leadership experience working with a team of about 6-10 engineers.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
