Principal Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to join our team. The Power Platform is a strategic new growth area for Microsoft, and it is revolutionizing the automation landscape with groundbreaking AI experiences that simplify and accelerate automation development and process discovery for both professional developers and business users.

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience. 
• 4+ years people management experience 
• 6+ years of industry experience successfully shipping services or building web experiences 
• 3+ years of experience with Azure or any cloud platform equivalent 
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React/Redux and TypeScript

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications   

• Experience creating AI-centric experiences, or familiarity with AI and large language models 
• Experience building scalable applications and services with Azure or other scalable cloud platforms with robust performance, resiliency, telemetry, and security. 
• Experience leading complex software projects over multiple releases covering all stages of the product/service lifecycle. 

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
