The Azure Kubernetes Service, i.e., AKS, team is creating a world-class container management and orchestration services for the cloud and beyond. We are the team working on container solutions for Azure on both Linux and Windows.

As a Principal Software Engineer on the AKS team, you'll dive into challenging technical endeavors, developing state-of-the-art software systems. Your work will be instrumental in understanding our system's quality, gathering vital data, and guiding fellow engineers in their design and development choices. You'll be at the forefront of leveraging advanced AI/ML technologies and vast cloud infrastructure, driving Azure Kubernetes and Azure's overall quality to new heights. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, GoLang or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of coding experiences around Kuberneters, container infrastructures.
  
  
• 4+ years of experiences of operating and maintaining distributed infrastructure.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  •  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• • OR related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
  • OR Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experiences in modern monitoring/configure management systems, AND/OR cloud infrastructure.
