We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Microsoft Teams team, specializing in Enterprise Voice features. As an individual contributor, you will lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android, ensuring seamless VoIP and telephony integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions, enhance performance, and ensure reliability. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in mobile development, deep expertise in VoIP technologies, and a passion for delivering user experiences in enterprise communication tools.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years mobile engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in VOIP and/or push notifications.
- Extensive professional experience with Mobile app development in Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Objective-C/Swift).
- Understanding of data structures, design patterns and asynchronous programming.
- Understanding of JavaScript and web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience in API design and performance optimization tools in the mobile space.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Flutter / React Native or other cross platform solutions.
- Understanding of and interest in developing for both iOS and Android platforms.
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
