The Team

 

The Power CAT (Customer Advisory Team) is an agile team within the Power Platform engineering group, helping customers drive up the adoption of Power AppsPower AutomateCopilot studioPower PagesAI Builder and Dataverse. The charter of the team is to provide tools, guidance, adoption acceleration and architectural advisory services to key enterprise customers, helping maximize the business value customers get from the platform, while minimizing time to value. 

 

Within Power CAT, the CAT Engineering team builds first party apps and toolkits as open-source implementations to help unblock immediate customer need. The Tools the team builds are the CoE Starter Kit, Creator Kit, Dataverse Accelerator, and others. These kits are built on the Power Platform. The toolkits provide strong signal for prioritization of product features and future product roadmap.

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing the foundational frameworks and technologies upon which our applications are built. This team creates tools, open-source projects, first-party apps, Apps, workflows, server-side plugins, Power Apps code components, manages the core technologies of our toolkits, and develops world-class AI capabilities for makers and end users.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in software development and designing distributed systems and front-end applications.
  • Experience with Azure cloud Platform. 
  • Strong coding and deep technical knowledge on C#/.NET.
    • Strong hands-on knowledge on Power Platformtechnologies: 
    • Power Platform Governance & Administration. 
    • Power Apps – Canvas apps, Model driven apps. 
    • Microsoft Dataverse / Dynamics 365 customization & integration. 
    • Power Platform pro-dev extensibility options such as Power Apps Code component using React, Fluent UI, Typescript, and PAC CLI. 
    • Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management. 
    • Power Automate cloud flows. 
  • Experience with Copilot studio / AI.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent or 14+ years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running platforms and services on a scale.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
  • Great written and oral presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing first Party applications, AppSource deployment.
