Description

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager Lead to help drive our strategic feed experiences on Edge, Windows, and mobile. In this role, you will deliver a world-class news feed experience that takes into consideration implicit and explicit customer interest signals powered by ML models, big data, and AI techniques including GPT. We are currently evolving our feed to leverage the power of Copilot to deliver new and exciting customer scenarios, so it is an excellent time to join the team! 

 

You will use qualitative (customer feedback, user research, academic research) and quantitative analysis to drive immediate and long-term improvements (data, relevance, UX, measurement) to both existing experiences and opportunities for the future. You will closely work with designers, engineers, data scientists, user research and broader cross-org teams across Microsoft to build a vision and long-term strategy to evolve the experience and support our partners. You will also rely on your experience in enhancing existing UX & platform solutions at scale to be adopted by multiple products and teams across Microsoft.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience using data, analytics, and metrics. 
  • Experience with end-user facing products and services, focus on UX. 
  • Data analysis experience with Excel, PowerBI, SQR, R, Python/Pandas, or other tools. 
  • Experience in building large scale solutions. 
  • Ability to wear many hats and learn quickly. 
  • Project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills. 
  • Above agerage written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of organization, technical and non-technical. 
  • Analytical aptitude and track record of problem solving and ability to think strategically. 
  • Experience with A/B testing.

 

Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

  • Understand current customer needs and gaps by conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Rally your feature team to deliver on key metrics and business goals. 
  • Model, coach, and care for the product managers reporting to you.
