Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 18+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of team leadership and people management. 
• Solid track record of hiring and managing great teams. 
• Experience building and shipping production grade products, timely and with high quality. 

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualification:

• Deep technical experience building and running scalable, secure cloud applications and services for enterprise customers. 
• Track record of operational excellence with a focus on privacy, security and operational health.  
• Experience with M365 foundational technologies.  
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React.js, Node.js.. 
• Experience with Azure cloud offerings such as Azure Postgres, Azure Cosmos DB etc.. 
• Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring senior leaders.

As a Principal Group Engineering Manager, you will be hiring and building up an Engage Engineering team in India from scratch. You must have a proven track record leading and managing teams of engineers spanning all aspects of software engineering life cycle and a history of delivering highly available products and services with quality and on schedule. We need someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and obsessed with delivering world-class experiences that are performant and built for massive scale in a 24/7 world.
