Principal Group Engineering Manager

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies across platform innovations and management. Ideally a portion of experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platform providers.
• Experience in designing, delivering, and managing complex software services for internet scale.    

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud and related technologies.    
• 12+ years of experience in architecture, performance, scale, backend.    
• 4+ years of engineering management.    
• Personal drive and impact, a desire to roll up the sleeves and make things happen.  
• Collaborative attitude, ability to work toward customer and business goals while influencing across the organizations.   
• Passion and track record for growing leaders and creating an inclusive and diverse environment.   
• Product thought leadership with technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly understand service capabilities, technical issues, and customer needs.   
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal connections for the organization.
