Principal Engineering Manager

The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox. 

Required: 

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience  

• Experience in your career history as a hands-on engineer working with large scale distributed systems with at least 2 years as a people manager  

• Experience architecting, developing and managing requirements and making data-driven decisions  

• Experience in trade-off scenarios, prior ownership of a roadmap, and setting goals  

• Excellent communication, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment. 

Preferred: 

• 3+ years of successful experience as people manager is a plus  

• Prior experience of building services and tools using c#, .Net on Kubernetes infrastructure is a plus  

• Experience in data engineering and data modeling. 

• Experience with modern security practices.

We are hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team that enables various scenarios across Xbox Platform including Cloud Gaming. The charter includes building secure backend services, tools that improve services reliability and testability, developer tools and focus on quality and data engineering functions.
