The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization is leading the effort to create the desired customer experience through support offer creation, driving digital transformation across our tools, and delivering operational excellence across CE&S.

In this role you will adapt business models, plans, and solutions to insights. Act as the voice of the customer (VOC)/partner across communities to add and prioritize. Leverages and champions an existing architecture approach to achieve agreed commitments to the customer/partner. Demonstrate and prove solutions capability and value. Apply broad technical knowledge across various of architecture solutions to meet requirements and resolve identified constraints. Lead customer/partner projects that implement technical architecture. Identify, escalate, and work to resolve technical blockers and route non-technical issues for removal. Adapt methodology and apply governance to minimize business and technical risks. Generate new ideas for changes and improvements. Develop and expand existing impactful relationships with stakeholders. Respectfully challenge customers/partners when going in the wrong direction and escalate appropriately. Identify Microsoft''s strengths over competitive solutions to convince customers of solution. Share ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with internal teams using a thorough knowledge of specific Microsoft products and their context in the competitive landscape. Participate in external architect community events and share learnings with the internal team. Lead architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increase customer usage/Azure Consumed Revenue. The CSA drives delivery execution through preparedness, precision delivery, overall utilization, and high customer satisfaction in a cost-efficient manner..

Qualifications
Language Qualification:
Fluent in reading, writing in Japanese. Mandarin and English are strongly recommended.

At least 10+ years of professional experience in consulting, technical presales, product engineering, or enterprise data platform implementation.
Leader role experience or any related experience is must to have.
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a customer-facing environment.
Ability to use technologies to achieve business objectives and solve business problems.
Ability to build deep working relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
Ability to drive collaboration, resolve conflicts and drive alignments.
Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensure successful implementation of customer projects.
Expert knowledge and experience in the architecture of enterprise data platform architecture and data lake.
Expert knowledge and experience in at least two of the following:
NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.) and NoSQL data modeling.
RDBMS (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle DB) and RDBMS data modeling.
Data analytics platform and data warehouse (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) and analytical data modeling.

Responsibilities

Understanding Customer Technical Environment

Gathers customer insights (e.g., feedback around technical preferences, environments, business needs, competitive landscape), and maps architecture and digital transformation solutions to customer business outcomes. Adapts business models, plans, and solutions to insights.
Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC) by driving new feedback, gaps, blockers, insights, resources, etc. across communities to track, add, and prioritize, using established channels (e.g., UAT/TFT).

Technical Expertise & Architecture Design and Deployment

Act as a subject matter expert in the following areas:
As a Data & AI Solution Architect, you support customer projects as a subject matter expert in two or more of the following Azure AI Platform Cloud solutions (or equivalent on IBM Watson, AWS, GCP platforms):

Supports research projects and contributes to scoping surveys for customers to assess potential intellectual property (IP) needs or process changes. Learns to identify opportunities for IP re-use and consumption.

Identifies and begins developing impactful relationships with internal teams and customer and partner/IDS technical specialists during initial preparation and ramp-up stages.
Respectfully challenges customers when going in the wrong direction and escalates appropriately.
Understands the competitor''s architecture solutions and identifies Microsoft''s strengths over competitive solutions to demonstrate Microsoft''s value to customers.
Participates in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increase customer business value. Ensures that the customer''s environment and applications are well-architected.
