The Microsoft Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation of Microsoft’s end-to-end customer experience. As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will enable customers to achieve their outcomes, based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your Microsoft Azure technical subject matter expertise, you will lead technical conversations with customers and Microsoft colleagues, to drive value from their MS investments. This includes accelerating customer adoption by building solutions and identifying resolutions to issues impeding customer success projects. You will also drive product influence with Engineering and increase technical intensity in the field. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home and this role can be completed from any of Microsoft's locations in Western Europe, Middle East or Netherlands.

Minimum Qualfiications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND experience working with large Enterprise customers and field communities in consulting or similar roles, leading deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation of Data or Analytics based solutions OR experience in building products and services as part of Engineering teams in engineering positions.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Value: The ability to convey the business needs and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers. This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy.
  • Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies.
  • Situational fluency: Using self-awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to increase your ability to "read the room."
  • Insightful listening: asking insightful questions to understand the customer needs, issues, business environment and drivers, and going beyond what customer has said.

Technical:

  • Profound expertise in NoSQL technologies, specifically MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or Cassandra, along with other relevant technologies in this domain. 
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (Azure or equivalent), with a strong portfolio of creating Data & Analytics Proofof Concepts (PoC), MinimumViable Products(MVPs)for customersthat lead to production deployments and their subsequent optimization. 
  • Skilled in migrations across SQL Server, OSS, NoSQL database technologies including MongoDB and Cassandra, and modernization from on-premises to the cloud. Experience in handling structured and unstructured data in Big Data scenarios using technologies such as Fabric Data Warehouse, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, and data lake concepts. 
  • Robust database architecture, application development skills, scripting, deployment automation, performance tuning and optimization, high availability/disaster recovery, and debugging database-related issues. 
  • Competitive Landscape: Knowledge of key Data & Analytics platforms such as AWS, GCP, with a focus on how they integrate and leverage NoSQL technologies like MongoDB and Cassandra.
