We are seeking a high-energy, ambitious, and results-driven Data Scientist with strong work ethic and integrity to join the Taiwan SMAI OI (Operation Intelligence) team at Micron Technology. In this role, you will develop advanced manufacturing solutions that enhance Fab wafer output and tool efficiency, ensuring delivery within project timelines.

You will collaborate with experienced Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Area Engineers, and UX teams to identify key questions, address challenges, and improve existing tools. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources. This position offers significant opportunities for exploratory analysis and innovative solution development, driving impactful improvements across Micron’s manufacturing operations.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in Python and at least one RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle, or MySQL).
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies and concepts (e.g., GCP, BigQuery, AlloyDB).
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.
• Nice to have: experience translating business problems into optimization or mathematical models (e.g., linear programming, Operations Research), with exposure to solvers such as CPLEX or Gurobi.
• Knowledge of web development frameworks (Angular, .NET Core) is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile practices, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps principles.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/ Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical
• Engineering, or equivalent programming experiences, certifications will be considered.
