Job Summary

The Data Systems Manager I supports the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of data systems developed by the College and Career Readiness (CCR) team, with a primary focus on postsecondary readiness and outcomes. This role manages projects, timelines, and stakeholder communication to ensure CCR data systems are effectively implemented and utilized. The position works in alignment with direction set by the Data Systems Manager II and collaborates with technical teams to support system functionality, user adoption, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with working knowledge of data systems and tools. 

What you will do

  • Coordinate and execute implementation of CCR data systems and initiatives, including project planning, timeline management, and rollout activities. Monitor progress and support timely completion of implementation milestones.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring strong organization, time management, and completion of deliverables. Coordinate resources, tasks, and communication to support efficient execution of projects.
  • Coordinate work across cross-functional teams, including CCR leadership, technical teams, and school-based stakeholders. Facilitate communication and alignment across teams to ensure clarity of goals, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for schools regarding CCR data systems, providing clear and consistent communication. Coordinate stakeholder communication, follow-up, and support aligned to established priorities.
  • Facilitate and deliver trainings and support to build user capacity and effective system use. Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical users.
  • Utilize working knowledge of data systems and tools to support implementation, troubleshooting, and system use. Coordinate testing of system updates in collaboration with technical team members.
  • Perform basic data validation and analysis to ensure accuracy and usability of outputs. Write or modify basic queries (e.g., SQL) and support system functionality as needed.
  • Coach schools on the use of data to monitor implementation, system usage, and outcomes. Coordinate efforts to support schools in using CCR data to inform planning and decision-making.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field Required
  • Master's Degree in a related field Required


Experience Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of classroom, student, or school administration experience Required
  • 1-3 years years of experience in information technology, or with data systems and/or dashboards Required


Skills and Abilities

  • Project management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously (High proficiency)
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and support task delegation and workflow execution (High proficiency)
