The impact
As a Tech Lead at Method, you will be a key technical contributor while also helping shape our engineering culture and driving technical excellence. This is a hands-on role, but a of your time will be committed to mentoring and guiding the engineering team. You will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team and cross-functional partners in Customer Success, Product, and GTM to influence strategic technical decisions while remaining deeply involved in implementation.
What you'll do
Serve as a primary technical contributor while providing guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.
Balance your hands-on development work with helping to coordinate resource allocation across projects, ensuring efficient utilization of our engineering talent.
Architect and implement technical solutions to enhance our infrastructure, processes, and overall architecture, leading by example with your own code.
Drive execution speed by actively participating in and optimizing workflows, identifying and removing bottlenecks, and implementing engineering best practices.
Work cross-functionally with other teams to help define and execute on the product roadmap, bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business objectives.
Participate in technical interviews and help onboard new engineers to maintain a high-performing engineering team.
Who you are
6+ years of software engineering experience, with some experience in technical leadership or mentoring roles.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack development, preferably with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and NoSQL databases.
Experience in a growth stage start-up, ideally in the Series A - D size
Experience building out 0 > 1 engineering processes such as a release cadence or resource allocation frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the FinTech space.
Extra awesome
Experience in Finance / FinTech industries.
Knowledge of payment systems and financial regulations.
The annual US base salary range for this role is: $215,000-$250,000.
