- Be a key Subject Matter Expert in operations management with focus on business process engineering, compliance, networking, and tooling/automation.
- Formulate the right metrics and definitions of success to report & drive quality, efficiency, cost, and timeliness, and evolve these over time to match changes to the infrastructure and business requirements.
- Develop operations process improvement plans and transform with partner teams the improvements to scalable and automated workflows by writing and reviewing the code to improve the operational efficiency.
- Perform deep dives on complex operations and technical issues across networks, such as business process defects, opportunities for automated tooling, operations compliance non-conformance, technical troubleshooting & resolving hardware failures and network issues.
- Anticipate potential operational risks and develop a mix of field support & oversight strategies (e.g., self-audit, compliance) to mitigate/minimize.
- Support detailed planning & management of all regulated controls throughout project lifecycles.
- Participate in and improve issue/event escalation and emergency response, including detailed after-actions-review to prevent future recurrences.
- Build cross-functional relationships and deliver results with partner teams (internally & externally) associated with all coordination and compliance issues, including vendors, contractors, and stakeholders/ partners.
- Be on-call to learn from & support real world operations & production challenges and take the lessons to improve current and future generation Coordination products & business processes.
- 15% of travel (domestic and international).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience with network operations and/or operations leadership while supporting large-scale operations in heterogeneous network environments.
- Experience working within a global team and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision.
- Experience in implementing/maintaining the monitoring, alerting and repairing systems for production network in a DevOps environment.
- Experience/knowledge of BGP/OSPF, TCP/IP and IPv6.
- Organization/multitasking skills and experience to adapt to quickly-changing priorities with proven communication skills.
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Certificate(s) and/or demonstrated experience in (technical) operations management, compliance, auditing
- Knowledge of data-driven analysis and analytics applied to a full project lifecycle.
- Experience in providing technical & operations guidance to internal partners & external vendors.
- Familiarity with physical infrastructure design: rack elevations, cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, power/cooling, and facility infrastructure.
- Coding experience in Python, or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity/experience with compliance frameworks & security-related standards (e.g., ISO, NIST)
- Familiarity/experience with authoring & managing against SOPs, MOPs, and Policies, and myriad technical and operations guidance, knowledge management
