Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python development, memory management, cloud services, advanced debugging techniques, and graphics processing. Experience with Thumbor is a strong plus. As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance applications, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain complex Python applications and services.
● Identify and resolve memory leaks and optimize memory usage.
● Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
● Utilize advanced debugging techniques to diagnose and resolve application issues.
● Work with graphics processing and image manipulation libraries.
● Implement and maintain Thumbor for image processing and optimization.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
● Conduct code reviews and ensure the adherence to best practices and coding standards.
● Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
● Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.


Required Skills and Experience:
● 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
● In-depth knowledge of memory management and techniques to avoid memory leaks.
● Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based architecture.
● Strong debugging skills and experience with tools such as pdb, PyCharm Debugger, or similar.
● Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Good to Have:
● Hands-on experience with Thumbor for image processing.
● Experience with graphics processing libraries such as PIL/Pillow, OpenCV, or similar.
● Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
● Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
● Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
● Contributions to open-source projects.
