We are looking to hire a Workday Administrator to join our People team, who will oversee the administration and management of our HRIS platform, Workday. 

This role will focus on strategic planning, refining processes, and focusing on maximizing the capabilities of Workday to meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in HRIS management, a passion for leveraging technology to drive organizational success, and the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams to address their Workday needs. 

Here are some things you’ll do on the job: 

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Workday (our HRIS), overseeing all aspects of configuration, upgrades, integrations, security, business processes, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Operate as the subject matter expert and lead the strategic direction for Workday across modules including Payroll, Core HCM, Benefits, Time, Absence, and Advanced Compensation
  • Conduct an analysis of the current state of Workday across Mercury, and develop and maintain a roadmap outlining key areas for improvement across workstreams while driving the planning and execution of these initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their HRIS needs and help them streamline processes, implement best practices, and resolve issues related to Workday functionality
  • Provide operational support for payroll, benefits, time tracking, leave management, compensation, and HCM administration
  • Manage user access, security roles, and permissions within Workday to ensure data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies
  • Lead training and development initiatives to drive broader adoption of Workday across Mercury
  • Develop and generate customized reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools to meet the needs of various stakeholders 

You should: 

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or something you feel is equivalent
  • Have 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Workday administrator or consultant with a deep understanding of the Workday ecosystem 
  • Hold strong technical skills in areas such as data management and integrity, integrations, reporting, security, business processes, and system administration within Workday
  • Be able to cultivate and manage productive relationships with various cross-functional team members 
  • Have a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement that you bring into your day-to-day work
  • Be able to build processes that can scale in a thoughtful and organized way 
  • Be resourceful when troubleshooting problems and solve them in a creative and thoughtful way 
  • Have a high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area: $126,700 - $149,000 USD
  • US employees outside of Los Angeles, Seattle, New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area: $114,000 - $134,100 USD
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD $115,300 - $135,600
