Summary:

Menlo Security is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Security Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our data security product portfolio. This individual will play a critical role in defining and delivering innovative solutions that protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, leakage, and misuse. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the data security landscape, including the role of AI, compliance requirements, and browser technology, as well as a proven track record of bringing successful products to market.

We're looking for someone who thinks like a general manager, operates like an entrepreneur, and gets stuff done in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll need to be resourceful, adaptable, and have a bias for action. You'll own your product area and be responsible for its success, from conception to launch and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Define and execute the product strategy for Menlo Security's data security products, aligning with overall company goals and customer needs. Act as the "CEO" of your product area, making strategic decisions that drive growth and success.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations impacting data security.

  • Customer Insights: Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points and requirements through interviews, surveys, and user research. Be the voice of the customer within the organization.

  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines key features, releases, and timelines. Prioritize ruthlessly and make data-driven decisions.

  • Product Requirements: Define detailed product requirements and user stories, working closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders. Ensure clarity and alignment across teams.

  • Product Launch: Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product releases, including pricing, positioning, and marketing. Execute flawlessly and drive early adoption.

  • Product Adoption: Drive product adoption and usage through customer engagement, training, and support. Be obsessed with customer success and continuously iterate on the product based on feedback.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure successful product delivery and adoption. Build strong relationships and foster collaboration across teams.

  • Thought Leadership: Represent Menlo Security at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Contribute to thought leadership content and evangelize the company's data security vision. Be a passionate advocate for the product and the company.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data security, DLP, or related technologies. Demonstrated success in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data security concepts, technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with AI/ML, compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and web technologies, browsers, etc.

  • Product Management Skills: Proven ability to define product strategy, conduct market analysis, gather customer insights, and develop product roadmaps.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with a bias for action. Ability to take ownership, make decisions, and drive results with minimal supervision.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to influence and collaborate across teams and functions. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term product vision.

  • Passion: A genuine passion for data security and a desire to protect sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with web technologies, browsers, etc Deep understanding of how web technologies and browsers impact data security.

  • MBA or equivalent experience: While not required, an MBA or equivalent experience demonstrates a strong foundation in business strategy and decision-making.
