About the Team:
Our unit is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix, as we work on cutting-edge technologies like AWS and Snowflake or democratizing Generative AI solutions as part of our global R&D organization.

We are looking for an addition to our local team in Rotterdam, which develops innovative solutions for our customers to create smarter applications faster and integrate those applications within their IT landscape. Think about hyper scalers and data platforms such as Amazon Web Services and the Snowflake data cloud where we focus on leveraging their great platform capabilities and bringing them closer to our low-code platform by optimizing the integration experience.

You’ll help drive digital innovation by:

  • Creating and maintaining assets and components with java, Mendix and other technologies to leverage usage and/or integrate with external (cloud) platforms.  
  • Closely collaborating with customers and partners to create innovative products that bring cloud-and external platform capabilities into Mendix web applications. 
  • Working on an Enterprise App development platform and we’re in it for the long haul. Thousands of developers and millions of end users across the globe rely on your work and each commit can make a lot of impact. 
  • Diving into all sorts of technologies to integrate our platform with external systems. While our current focus is on Mendix with Java, we also utilize REST APIs, Python, and cloud technologies, and are open to adopting any new technology necessary to achieve our goals. 

You’re the lead developer we need if:

  • You’re an expert in Java.
  • You are familiar in the field of platform- and app-integration, and customer landscapes.
  • You like learning new things and techniques, so you easily pick up new languages and technologies.
  • You feel comfortable presenting and communicating to partners and customers You are pro-active and act when needed without needing specific instructions.
  • You have proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. 
  • You can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • You are adept at setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback, and driving accountability within your team. 
  • You are skilled in conflict resolution and can navigate challenging situations with diplomacy and a solutions-oriented mindset. 

Bonus:

  • You are familiar with product development.
  • You have experience with cloud platforms, like Amazon, Azure and/or Google.
  • You have experience with SQL or other data query languages and (AI) data clouds like Snowflake and Databricks.
  • You have experience with integration and security protocols like OAuth and OIDC.
  • You are familiar with the OData and GraphQL protocols.
  • You have knowledge of network protocols and the JVM platform.
  • You are familiar with the Mendix platform.
