The Role 
Megaport is looking for an experienced, hands-on Salesforce SME to continue implementing and maintaining Salesforce Service Cloud and ongoing Salesforce suite applications. To execute this role effectively, you will identify synergies with existing tools and develop automation for day-to-day work. Your primary customers are the front-line support team, customers, and network operations teams. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced in relevant technologies, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to project manage dependencies across technical departments, and lead the implementation of operations tools/automation strategy. 

We are looking for someone who is excited to lead the journey of developing this capability; high-value opportunities are abundant in this space for Megaport. Proven experience in designing, implementing and maintaining Salesforce is a must. The ideal candidate would be genuinely interested in analysing measurable operations work activity, exploring opportunities to develop systemic automation and managing the design and implementation of the identified opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the subject matter expert of Salesforce for Megaport globally
  • Develop, document and maintain the Salesforce design
  • Maintain certifications and knowledge of Salesforce, web development, and languages, including APEX, SOQL, JAVA and JAVAScript.
  • Analyse the business requirements in collaboration with key operations stakeholders and prepare effective solutions.
  • Work with internal technology teams to architect a solution for the business requirement.
  • Present the solution to business unit managers and executives for sign-off.
  • Own the deployment of the agreed solution: design, project management, implementation, QA and release.
  • Design, implement and maintain the solution with best practices in Salesforce required to deliver the capability and achieve targeted business outcomes.
  • Design and implement integrations between new and existing systems.
  • Maintain design and specification documentation for the assigned projects in Megaport’s KB system.
  • Develop all test strategies and procedures for all Salesforce work and support all fault analyses on Salesforce programs.
  • Perform troubleshooting on all processes and resolve all issues in the Salesforce platform.
  • Provide periodic progress reports for management consumption.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Applications and resumes must be submitted in English.
  • This role is onsite in Mexico City; applicants must be based in Mexico City and work from Megpaort’s office in Mexico City.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Programmer, Software Developer or Web Engineer.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as APEX, Triggers, Screen Flows, Aura, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Fundamental knowledge of web coding, including JARA. JavaScript, CSS, HTML and XML.
  • Salesforce Developer or Administrator certification, or the desire to complete certification(s) as this will be a role requirement.
  • Critical-thinker: the ability to analyse complex problems, develop innovative strategies and execute.
  • Exceptional communications skills; ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner and liaison with non-programmers
  • Familiarity with big data and PowerBI.
  • Ability to multitask, offering support to the CNS Head, Manager, and other leadership and operations team members.
