Careers that Change LivesWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Test Engineer with expertise in Appium-based test automation. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies for our native mobile applications and services hosted on the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software testing technologies, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of ensuring the reliability and performance of mobile and web applications.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following (and other duties may be assigned).
Test Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for native mobile applications, including functional, smoke, and regression testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives, scope, and deliverables
Test Automation:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for front-end, back-end, and performance testing
- Ensure continuous integration and delivery pipelines are robust and reliable
Performance Testing:
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate and optimize application's
scalability and reliability.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and issues
Security Testing:
- Collaborate with security experts to incorporate security testing into the
overall testing process.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to
understand system architecture and design.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the testing team.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud services and
applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans,
test cases, and test reports.
- Document and communicate testing processes and best practices.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
- Extensive experience in test automation using tools like JavaScript, Java, Python, Appium, Jenkins, CI/CD, test reports, parallel execution, or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Appium for test automation and infrastructure management.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and web services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with MedTech products, firmware-based products, BLE testing.
