In this exciting role as a Sr. Distribution Industrial Engineer at the Medtronic Memphis Distribution Center, you will be responsible for delivering dedicated support to the daily logistics operations, with strong focus on standardization, simplification and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• Based on these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
• May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
• Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area.
• Analysis provided is in-depth analysis in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.
• Communication and Influence: Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors.
• Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making.
• May have practical knowledge of project management.
• May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product.
• Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance, coaching and training to other leaders and employees within job area.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / supply chain / logistics and 10 years’ experience in working with warehouse processes especially in redesign and optimalisation
• LEAN certification and project management experience, experience in mechanization and automation, experience in driving and managing change, knowledge on SAP Management Systems, knowledge of Value Stream Mapping and experience with AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office expertise
• Process-oriented and analytical with a pragmatic approach
• Problem Solving skills combined with process Thinking.
• Knowledge of Performance Management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with key players
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$92,800.00 - $139,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
