New Grad Product Designer

Team: Product

Location: Austin, TX

Commitment: Contract to Full-Time

Workplace Type: onsite

Overview

Meds.com is a rapidly growing consumer technology firm operating a suite of healthcare businesses, including our flagship brand BlueChew. Our mission is to better patients' lives through innovative healthcare solutions. With a team of 350 professionals across various specialties, we've built scalable pharmacy, telemedicine, and e-commerce platforms using cutting-edge technology. As we continue our accelerated growth trajectory, we're launching new products to expand our patient base and accelerate growth. Join us in tackling exciting challenges at the intersection of healthcare and technology.

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented New Grad Product Designer to join our Product Design team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will help design and refine the digital touchpoints that make up the BlueChew patient experience—from landing page conversion flows and medical intake questionnaires to account management portals and mobile interfaces.

You will collaborate closely with senior designers, product managers, engineers, and brand marketers to turn user insights into clean, functional, and visually compelling product experiences. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to build a strong foundation in DTC product design, user research, and design system management within a high-growth tech environment.

Responsibilities:

UI/UX Flow Design

  • Design user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile platforms.

  • Help optimize key user journeys, including user onboarding, telehealth intake forms, checkout, and recurring subscription management.

  • Participate in design reviews, presenting your work clearly to team members and incorporating constructive feedback.

Design System & Component Maintenance

  • Utilize, expand, and maintain BlueChew’s internal design system to maintain visual consistency across all digital touchpoints.

  • Create pixel-perfect UI components, responsive layouts, and interactive micro-animations using Figma.

User Research & Data Driven Design

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Analysts to analyze user behavior data, heatmaps, and conversion metrics to inform design decisions.

  • Assist in organizing and observing usability testing sessions to gather qualitative user feedback.

  • Help design and evaluate A/B test variations to continuously improve platform conversion and retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work hand-in-hand with front-end engineers to ensure design specs are accurately translated into production code.

  • Partner with Brand and Marketing teams to keep product aesthetics aligned with overarching brand guidelines.

Qualifications & Portfolio Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Recent graduate (or graduating within the next semester) with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • Portfolio: A digital portfolio demonstrating a solid grasp of user-centered design processes, wireframing, visual design, and interactive prototyping. (Case studies showing your problem-solving process are highly encouraged).

  • Tools: Proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping) and familiar with standard design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro, etc.).

  • Fundamentals: Solid understanding of typography, grid systems, color theory, layout hierarchy, and responsive web design.

  • Mindset: Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for building accessible healthcare products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in product design, web design, or UX research (preferably in tech, e-commerce, or DTC).

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS capabilities and mobile-first design principles.

  • Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines

We are looking for top talent that wants to make a measurable impact in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This role is full-time in Austin, TX.
