Associate Sitecore Developer

Location: Richmond

Time Type: Full time

Job Description

Build and support the digital experiences behind one of Australia’s most loved retail brands.

MECCA is continuing to invest in the technology that powers its customer experience across web, commerce and content. We’re looking for a Junior Sitecore Developer to join the digital technology team and help deliver practical improvements across MECCA’s Sitecore environment. This is a great opportunity for an early-career developer to work with an experienced team, learn a leading enterprise CMS platform, and contribute to customer-facing digital products at real scale.

The Role You Can Play

  • Enterprise platform exposure - build experience across Sitecore and the broader digital technology landscape

  • Customer-facing impact - contribute to web and content experiences used by MECCA customers every day

  • Learning and growth - work alongside experienced developers, product owners and digital stakeholders

  • Modern retail technology - gain exposure to e-commerce, content management, integrations and digital delivery

  • Supportive team environment - join a collaborative team where you can ask questions, build confidence and keep developing your craft

  • Recognised brand - be part of one of Australia’s most distinctive and fast-growing retail businesses

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Building and updating Sitecore components, templates, layouts and content-driven features

  • Supporting the development, maintenance and enhancement of MECCA’s Sitecore platform

  • Troubleshooting defects, small enhancements and continuous improvement across digital channels

  • Working with senior developers to understand requirements and turn them into practical technical changes

  • Helping test, validate and document changes before they move through release

  • Working with product, digital, content and technology teams to support a high-quality customer experience

What You Will Bring

  • Some hands-on experience in software development, ideally using .NET / C#, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Understanding of modern web development fundamentals, including responsive web and front-end basics

  • Comfortable working with Git or a similar source control tool

  • Ability to follow development standards, write clear code and ask for help when needed

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn from more experienced developers

  • An interest in Sitecore, CMS platforms, e-commerce or digital customer experience

Nice To Have:

  • Exposure to Sitecore, ASP.NET MVC, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, headless CMS concepts, retail or e-commerce environments.

This role is based in Richmond and works to MECCA’s four-days-per-week in-office rhythm. You’ll be joining a fast-paced retail technology environment where priorities can move quickly, so this will suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable learning on the job, and is motivated by building digital experiences that customers actually use.

This is a junior role, so you won’t be expected to know everything on day one. What will matter most is your attitude, your technical foundation, your ability to take feedback, and your willingness to keep improving.
