Current Need

We are recruiting for a Sr. IT Architect, Practice Management Finance Apps to support Practice Management (“The Network”) within US Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services specific to the Financial Data Warehouse (SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS/ASP.Net/Core.Net), its interfaces with other applications, and its compliance with McKesson programs and policies.

Position Description

This role is key in maintaining and modernizing the Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) application, by providing strategic vision towards this platform and enabling the architectural runway for delivering modern solutions for our business.  As a McKesson Technology (MT) knowledge leader for the PSaS Practice Management (PM) business processes and MT’s diverse finance systems, you are to provide technical thought leadership in support of McKesson’s business objectives.

  • Advise the business and help define optimal solutions specific to US Oncology, Vantage, and intraFUSION practice revenue and drug expense data as it flows through various applications for financial and data analytics purposes.
  • Responsible to lead key design activities, execution milestones, and lead consensus. discussions/alignment with key business stakeholders to include PM Finance and Accounting, practices’ financial analytics teams, and various McKesson data teams.
  • Partner with Portfolio Management, Architecture and Solution teams to develop technical service roadmaps, incorporating both current and future capabilities to meet customer needs using SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, ASP.Net, GoAnywhere, Cloud based Applications and other emerging technologies.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with McKesson policies and programs, specifically in the areas of HIPAA, UAR, data encryption, cyber security, and source control.  This includes technical design, overseeing technical implementation, documenting architectural diagrams, and participating in audit exercises.
  • Drive internal process maturity of the Architecture and Solution organizations.
  • Support a DevOps model through thought leadership of both development and operational functions.

Minimum requirements: 8+ years relevant experience

Critical skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience with application solution design based in SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database
  • 4+ year’s experience with data reporting tools and data curation
  • 4+ years’ experience with application architecture design and documentation
  • Demonstrated prior experience effectively collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver superior business outcomes
  • Successful prior demonstration of productive business partner interactions and relationships
  • Expert experience in understanding and documenting customer requirements and specifications

Additional knowledge & Skills:

  • 4+ years’ experience with safeguarding systems in compliance with SOX, ISRM, HIPAA, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and other similar programs and policies
  • 3+ years’ experience with Business Objects, Tableau and/or Power BI
  • 2+ years’ experience with GitHub Gitea, or similar source control technologies
  • 2+ years’ experience with SSIS and SSRS, or similar integration/reporting technologies
  • 2+ years’ experience with web portal frameworks like ASP.Net
  • Prior experience working with financial users that support physician practice groups is a plus
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment – e.g. ability to assess a specific business scenario and develop an appropriate technical approach to support the desired business outcomes
  • Project management experience and skills within an SDLC or Scrum/SAFe Agile framework.
  • Understanding of best practices in data architecture and management
  • Business case development experience
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including team lead or management roles
  • Excellent relationship management skills demonstrating mature confidence and integrity; Proven track record building and maintaining productive customer relationships
  • Solid strategic thinking with results orientation
  • Superior collaboration and communication (oral and written) skills, as well as excellent level influencing skills
  • Experience working with an offshore development team.

Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements: Must be willing to work in a hybrid work environment

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$122,500 - $204,100
