Junior Professional Services Engineer

Location: Ramat Gan (IL)

Experience Level: Entry-level

Description

MazeBolt was named #11 of DUNS 100 top companies to work at in Israel. We have built a culture of trust, teamwork, and innovation. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing startup of skillful team players, working closely with a continuously growing worldwide customer base.

MazeBolt empowers organizations to shift from reactive DDoS firefighting to proactive resilience, ensuring business continuity, customer trust, and measurable risk reduction. RADAR™ by MazeBolt is the patented DDoS Vulnerability Management solution and independent validation layer that continuously tests every layer of deployed DDoS defenses without affecting live services, giving certainty that gaps, including those exposed by AI-driven threats, are remediated before attackers exploit them.

Job Description

This is a key role in MazeBolt’s success, supporting the entire technical arc of the customer lifecycle: presales, deployment, cyber operations, research and support. It suits a fast learner who is well organized, independent, a team player and able to solve problems in highly pressured situations.

You will be part of the Technical Services team, working with Sales, Technical Account Managers, Product and R&D to ensure outstanding customer delivery and satisfaction. You will design implementations, analyze ongoing technical operations and formulate processes so every customer gets the full value of RADAR.

What You’ll Do

  • Onboard new customers - Set up and configure RADAR for new deployments, map customer network topologies and the attack surface, translate needs into requirements for Product, and verify that everything is ready before validation begins.
  • Resolve complex networking issues - Assist customers to strengthen security, resilience, and compliance.
  • Manage and monitor validation tests - Execute non-disruptive DDoS tests across customer environments, track results in real time, and escalate anomalies to senior engineers.
  • Analyze findings and drive remediation - Identify where mitigation fell short and prepare clear, prioritized recommendations customers and their mitigation vendors can act on.
  • Build customer-ready reports - Contribute to the reports and evidence packs security leaders use to show resilience to executives, auditors and regulators.
  • Support ongoing customer success - Join customer calls, answer technical questions, and follow through on open issues so customers get maximum protection and see measurable improvement over time.
  • Collaborate across teams - Work with R&D, Product and Sales to share field insight, reproduce issues and support pre-sales POCs.

Reports to: VP TechOps

Requirements

  • Experience - 1-2 years in a technical role such as networking, IT operations, NOC/SOC or technical support (previous employment or military technology units).
  • Networking fundamentals - A solid grasp of TCP/IP, OSI layers, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing and firewalls.
  • Linux - Experience working in Linux and command line.
  • Analytical skills - The attention to detail to spot what doesn't look right in test data.
  • Communication - Clear written and spoken English, with the confidence to explain technical findings to customers.
  • Ownership - You follow through, keep commitments, and ask for help early.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with DDoS attack types and mitigation (scrubbing centers, CDNs, WAFs, on-prem appliances).
  • Scripting in Python, Bash or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or tools such as Wireshark.
  • Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
  • Customer-facing or professional services experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
